Alex Davis- Scot Pendlebury- totally love her (not just because Scot is my favorite)

So ive decided to cut down on the long boring written updates. If you want to find the scores etc. you can download the afl app or google it. Anything anyone wants to see? Who's your favorite and who have i missed?

Best and worst of the AFL

AFL has had it ups and down. Hair styles and tattos amongst the ups and downs. Here are a few of the worst hair styles
* none of the following images are mine and i take no credit for the photos*
Dustin Martin- I will never understand this. Looks like a 5 year old did it.
Ash Smith- oh Ash, slightly reminds me of Tracy from Hairspray.

Adam Heuskes- dont even know what to say for this.
Greg Anderson- then there's the mullet era.

TATTOOS
Ned Kelly- 'such is life' across his torso. WHY?
Travis Cloke- not a terrible tattoo however I feel as though its just not him.
Leroy Jetta- cute meaning but i will never understand the attempt of faces in tattoos.
Jeremy Howe- 'pain is short, victory is forever. Considering he okays for Melbourne I guess he's gotta hold onto as many victory's as he can. But he could have at least centered it.
Daniel Merrett- i don't even know what he was thinking. Surely one he will regret.

These tattoos and hairstyles surely are an interesting aspect of our beloved AFL players. Just glad their appearances have next to no impact on their sporting ability. Which do you guys think are the worst? and are there any worse that I've missed?

Hey guys so here's whats going on in AFL lately.

As some of you may know before the proper season for AFL starts (April to late September) there is a small competition called the Nab challenge. All the teams ( photo below for those unaware of teams) compete and there are small rule modification.

The results of round 1 are-
Collingwood def Hawks- 72- 116
West Coast def Carlton- 78- 47
Brisbane def St Kilda- 55-58
Western Bulldog def Richmond- 89-67
Adelaide def  Kangeroos- 90-80
Suns def Geelong- 79-71

2014 Premiership team Hawthorn lost to Collingwood causing an upset (particuarly between me and my Hawthorn supporting friends).

WOMENS

In the past few years, the participation of girls footy has been growing but recently especially in my local league the interest has been dropping. Womens afl is a growing legue. This year there are two women's exhibition matches one on May 16th which is Melbourne vs. Western Bull Dogs. Western Bull Dogs are also hosting one on August 16th. Last year there was a large turn out of  a few thousand and hopefully there will be an even bigger turn out this year.

Hey guys, so this blog is based purely on Australian Rules Football. Something to differ this blog form all others is that Women in AFL will be a common topic. I plan to share at least weekly or more updates with a collection of things that have been going on. Things that these will include are wins and losses, injury, women's league information and any other news. In these or in other updates there will be things like memes, videos and gossip.

A little background on me; I'm from Melbourne, I've played AFL in the SMJFL (south metro junior football league) in a girls team for about 4-5 years, I am a Collingwood supporter no matter how much people try to convince me otherwise, I am very opinionated however feel free to share your own opinions, I will listen. A pet hate of mine is sexism and I will fight for my life to see women be treated equally in AFL. I am not the brilliant player but I have a passion, I played for a short time with Melbourne Demons girls Academy a few years ago and that was the time I was inspired by girls AFL.

Feel free to ask any questions and state your opinion, i will do my best to get you answers.
Please do not take offence to anything I say, I am a slightly sarcastic person and do not mean any harm, I can almost guarantee i will be biased to Collingwood but will try my best.
